Organisation levels

Changes have been made within the booking system to provide for a more flexible and consistent organisation hierarchy. Each organisation will have a level associated with it which, at the moment, can be one of:

• Region
• Authority
• Institution

This will enable, for example, schools to register their venues at their own institution level organisation and for that organisation to be part of a parent local authority organisation. That local authority can, in turn, be a member of a regional broadband consortium etc.

Migration of appropriate existing venues to new organisations will be undertaken by JANET(UK) initially.
